LEED™
Echo Eliminator™ may contribute to earning several LEED™ credits throughout the program. Echo Eliminator™ contains 85% post-industrial recycled content and uses cotton, a rapidly renewable resource, as one of its main ingredients. Echo Eliminator™ does not contain any harmful chemicals or irritants and therefore does not pose any VOC or off-gassing concerns.
Using Echo Eliminator™ for your next LEED™ project may not only assist you in earning LEED™ credits, but will also provide your clients with a superior, healthy, and safe insulation they can depend on.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Green Building Rating System is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Members of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) representing all segments of the building industry developed LEED™ and continue to contribute to its evolution. Acoustical Surfaces, Inc. is a member of the USGBC and supports improving green building efforts.
The LEED™ Rating System evaluates projects over 5 core and 1 bonus credit categories:

- Energy & Atmosphere
- Materials & Resources
- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Bonus Credits for Process and Design Innovation
This rating system promotes integrated, entire building design practices and encourages awareness of green building benefits. Currently, LEED™ standards are available or under development for: LEED™ NC – new commercial construction and major renovations, LEED™ EB – existing building operations, LEED™ CS – core and shell projects, LEED™ H – homes and LEED™ CI – commercial interior projects.
